A little bit about me.

I grew up in Montreal, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Concordia University.

From the beginning, I have been passionate about becoming a psychologist. During my undergrad,

I was fortunate enough to go on exchange to the Netherlands. This experience shaped me significantly and opened my eyes to new ways of seeing the world.

I completed a master’s in Public Health at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2017. This helped widen my perspective and develop a greater appreciation for the social factors that impact health and well-being.

I moved to Vancouver and began my doctorate in psychology (PsyD) at Adler University in 2017.  After finding a supportive community here, I feel as if it has become my home.

While working on my doctorate, I have gained experience at the Vancouver Parole Office, the British Columbia Society for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse and Work BC. In 2019, I began my private practice, working part-time as a Registered Clinical Counsellor alongside my doctoral studies.

In 2023, I completed my pre-doctoral internship with Adler Community Health Services. I primarily worked with the staff of Providence Healthcare by providing both counselling and assessment services. I also completed my doctoral dissertation, which involved a historical and critical review of psychotherapy training. In the later part of the dissertation, I presented an alternative model of psychotherapy training which placed a greater emphasis on the development of the practitioner. If you are interested in my research, you can find a recording of my defence here.

In my work and day-to-day life, I draw inspiration from Buddhist teachers such as Thich Nhat Hanh, Alan Watts and DT Suzuki.

My favourite books are One Hundred Years of Solitude and East of Eden. I also enjoy a broad musical taste, ranging from soul and folk to lo-fi and house. During my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my partner and my cat, Nora.

The practices I incorporate into my daily routine include meditation, yoga, strength training and taking dips in the Pacific (and, of course, attending my own therapy).
